This week on Advancing the Mission, we continue playing my top 5 favorite interviews with a replay of a conversation with Thomas Smith during Black History Month in 2022. Tom Smith is the assistant school leader and co-founder of Smith Academy For Excellence. We have partnered with this school for several years at County Line. Tom has been in many leadership positions in Fort Wayne schools and was the first minority varsity coach in Fort Wayne in 1983. We can all learn from his experience of being a black man in a predominantly white community. Listen as he talks about his life and some of the injustices he has dealt with. Hopefully, this is something we can all learn from.
